GENERAL INFO

Every Catherine Langlois wedding dress is made with passion and a belief in using the finest materials so your wedding dress is perfect for you and your day.
We take pride in our designs and take the greatest care when designing and making your gown. Our design esthetic from the beginning has been inclusive, authentic and sustainable. All brides are beautiful, all of our gowns will flatter the bride they are made for exquisitely. Whether you are a modern princess, a contemporary babe, an ethereal vision or a timeless beauty – your dress will evoke you. We have always designed for any shape, size, height, background and will make your ideal gown a reality.

 

All our ethically made dresses are made in our beautiful light filled studio by fairly paid dressmakers who are creative professionals in their own right. We are obsessed with what we do and our studio vibe is positive and serene.
Choosing a Catherine Langlois wedding dress supports an independent designer and a Made in North America business.

All of our gowns are made to order with the exception of sample sale designs. Made to order gowns require 14 weeks lead time, a few detailed styles require 16 weeks. Custom made gowns designed in the studio require a minimum of 4 months. Occasionally a fabric is out of stock, if the fabric will not arrive in time for your ship date we will let you know immediately. Rush orders are accepted on selected designs. Additional costs for rush orders are:

Sample sale gowns are shipped in 5 business days and are sold as is, cleaned and repaired.


A WORD ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Our wedding dresses are made from natural silks, quality synthetics, eco options when available and vintage fabrics and laces. We also offer Vegan fabric options on selected designs.

We source fabrics from around the world, preferring to work with respected family owned businesses and have forged personal relationships with our suppliers.

Every wedding dress is made to order, one at a time for each unique bride. We carry no excess stock other than our samples, which we sell at a discount. Fabric remnants are donated to schools, craft organizations and textile artists to keep our studio waste to a minimum.
All the wedding dresses are made by hand in our studio, not identically mass made in a factory. For highly detailed gowns there may be slight differences from the sample design shown on the website compared to your gown. This indicates the garment was made by an artist who is choosing placement of applique and beading to best suit the design and size of the dress.


CUSTOMIZATION

By special request we can substitute laces, make a gown in a custom color, switch tops with bottoms and change sleeves. Email us for details.


ALTERATIONS

Please contact your local tailor for alterations.


PAYMENT

Full payment is due upon ordering your dress. HST will be charged on all orders from Canada. Expedited shipping rates by Canada Post will be applied.


REFUNDS/EXCHANGES

We regret we are not able to provide refunds or exchanges since all our gowns are made to order only for you.

Sample sale gowns are final sale. They are sold in "as is" condition, cleaned and repaired. Any damage is noted in the description.


SWATCHES

Upon ordering, swatches are mailed to you. In some situations we can expedite the package so you may choose between shades. Delivery dates for the order may change.


SHIPPING

Once completed, your beautiful made to order dress will be carefully packed in a plastic bag, eco wedding dress bag, bubble wrap and two boxes. We inspect all shipments by two individuals to ensure quality control. Gowns are shipped via Canada Post Expedited Shipping. A tracking number will be sent to your email.

Additional costs for express shipping or insurance will be applied should you request them.

Lost Parcels
Our packages are mailed with tracking, that number will be emailed to you. Should your package be deemed lost by the shipping agency we will work with them to file a claim. International tracked packages are considered lost after 45 business days. We will be happy to send a replacement package after 45 business days at our expense.

Damaged Parcels
Our packages are carefully packed and inspected before mailing. If your package is damaged upon receipt, please notify us within 48 hours. Provide us with detailed photos of the damaged item. Do not throw out damaged packaging until a claim with a carrier has been filed. Damaged items will not be refunded, only replaced.


INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Please allow time for your shipment to clear customs and add this to your wear date. Duties and taxes may be charged on international orders by your country's customs agency.
