A custom gown is a creative process, my job as a designer is to guide you through it with expertise and thoughtfulness. I can design your entire gown or just give you advice as we go along. I love what I do and am passionate and dedicated to the craft of bridal design.

Looking forward to meeting you and designing your ideal wedding outfit!

Plan for 3 to 5 fittings depending on the style of gown. Six months is ideal, eager brides can book one year ahead of time. In the shoulder seasons (November- April) we can accommodate a 2 month time frame. With a shorter time frame a bride will have to work with in stock fabrics. Longer time frames mean we can order in fabrics in particular shades or if we are out of stock of a chosen fabric.

For the custom made option, we have in studio fittings so the dress fits you and your style perfectly. We do work with brides from around the world, often they visit the studio once or twice if they are in town. We can make gowns in a standard size without meeting the bride – email for details.

I mostly create custom wedding dresses for individual brides. Brides can also have a gown made to measure exactly the same as a studio collection dress, make changes to the sample design (colour/sleeve etc.)or use a sample as inspiration.

The cost of a gown is determined by fabric, silhouette, detailing and train length. An average gown will be similar in cost to a mid-priced trendy boutique, about $2500-$3900 +HST. All lace, very detailed or full ballgowns start at $3800 +HST.  A gown may be one cost or more/less depending on what the bride wants from the dress and budget. Estimates include all fabrics and fittings.

Appointments are Saturdays 10 am - 5 pm. Weekdays on availability. We do our best to accommodate your schedule, however this is a working studio and we schedule appointments around studio work time. We suggest booking 2 weeks ahead for a Saturday appointment as this is studio, not a boutique, and every bride receives personal attention during her appointment time.

We book one hour per bride.

The studio carries a wide variety of fabrics, laces and trims for every taste. Silk, crepe and tulle in a range of bridal shades. Modern laces and textured fabrics seen on the latest Instagram posts, traditional real deal French lace and vintage pieces. We have warm and respectful relationships with long term suppliers and do our best to find your dream fabric from around the world.

We have a range of dead stock fabric in the studio, and source fabrics from a supplier who specializes in dead stock (fabric that was produced but never used). We do have a selection of Eco fabrics. There are vintage laces purchased from other designers/ boutiques that have closed as well as laces/trims from our stock that are no longer available. Not only are these choices Eco friendly, they are often of an exquisite quality and very unique. We also sell our studio samples and brides are welcome to restyle/ upcycle these gowns in the studio.

Completely up to you. Some brides fly solo the entire process, others bring a group of trusted friends or their mom. Do what is best for you.

An initial appointment is made to meet each other and see if we are a good fit. I'll ask you about your ideal dress, give you an estimate, some swatches of fabric and a schedule of the process. There is no fee for this consultation.

Booking  a gown can be done via video call or in person.

The first fitting is a cotton mock-up (muslin) where we make design details, do an initial fit and choose the main fabric.

Two to three fittings depending on the detailing of the dress.

Final fitting, The gown is finished except for a zipper, pressing and minor details. Custom made veils are available to compliment your gown.
